lyrics

There's a dead armadillo on the road
a dead armadillo on the road
My brother nicknamed it Bobby Joe
that dead armadillo on the road

And I said, “Hey there bro
I bet you won't touch it with your toe
I bet you won't touch Bobby Joe
that dead armadillo on the road

My brother said don't be silly
I'll touch that little armadilly
so out came his big toe
and he put it right on Bobby joe

But then Bobby Joe jumped up
bit my brother in the butt
can't believe it jumped so high
that dead armadillo was alive

that dead armadillo was alive woo hoo
that dead armadillo was alive
my brother just ran and cried
that dead armadillo is alive

There was a dead armadillo on the road
was a dead armadillo in the road
but from the dead it rose
and now it's walking on home
from the dead it rose and now I’m just walking on home
